Komarda is a small bathing spot of rocks and concrete ledges below the Lazareti, reached by steps just outside Ploče Gate, between the old harbour and Banje beach.
Croatian travel bloggers like it because it is rarely crowded and looks straight across the water at the Old Town walls. Photographers come for the sunrise over the old harbour, and a travel guide notes that locals drift down later in the morning for a swim.
