The Benedictine monastery stands in the middle of Lokrum: the ruins of a medieval basilica, a cloister garden and the gardens of the later Habsburg summer residence. Its cloister was used as the city of Qarth in Game of Thrones.
Travel bloggers describe it as atmospheric to wander through, with beautiful cloisters and archways, and one counts it among her favourite things on the island. A visitor on Tripadvisor found it a little disappointing, and another blogger notes how much of it has been damaged over time.
