The Mrtvo more, or Dead Sea, is a small saltwater lake on the south side of Lokrum, fed by the open sea through the rock, with calm, shallow edges and pebbles underfoot.
Travel bloggers describe swimming and floating here, or sitting beside it with a drink and watching the swimmers, and one counts it as a highlight of their time in Croatia. Visitors also say it fills up by midday, and a Croatian travel feature points families to its calm, warm water.
